Signs Your Church Might Be Preaching a Watered-Down Gospel
If your church skips the gospel or is sharing a watered-down message of love and acceptance to make everyone feel comfortable…it may be time to have a talk with your Pastor or your small group. It may be time to find a new church.
If you don’t have a church or you’re just starting to find your faith, watch the video again. Seek out more messages like this one. Seek out truth tellers sharing only the true gospel.
In Galatians, Paul tells us “But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse!” (Galatians 1:8). It’s stated even more clearly in Colossians, when Paul writes:
“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ.” (Colossians 2:6-8)
It sounds like this might matter…make sure you know the truth. Do your research. Find a church that faithfully proclaims the true gospel.
